These terms govern your use of the CardVal app and related services ("the Service"). By using CardVal you agree to these terms. Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we handle — including product usage analytics — and the choices you have. Questions? CardVal identifies Pokémon trading cards from camera scans and displays estimated market prices aggregated from third-party marketplaces. You can save cards to collections and track their estimated value over time.
Card identifications and prices shown in CardVal are automated estimates provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Prices are not offers to buy or sell, and nothing in the Service is financial, investment, or appraisal advice. Always verify values independently before making buying or selling decisions.
Some features require an account, created via Apple or Google sign-in. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete Account, which permanently removes your data.
Free use of the Service is subject to limits (such as a maximum number of scans per day) that we may adjust at any time.

The CardVal app, its design, and its software are our property. Pokémon and all related card names, images, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners, including Nintendo, Creatures Inc., Game Freak, and The Pokémon Company. CardVal is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by these companies. Card data is used solely to identify cards and display market information.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that card identifications and prices will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or value arising from your use of the Service — including decisions made in reliance on prices or identifications shown in the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or to protect the Service, and may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date; continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
